To celebrate the anniversary of eff-able\u2019s ecstatic release, we want your \u2018after\u2019 art for a digital showcase on this website. What poem from our anthology of queer crip poetry left your legs shaking? Which performers from our This Is Not A Sideshow events had your heart pounding?<\/p>\n
Submissions can be poetry, flash fiction, visual art, audio, mixed-media, as long as they\u2019re inspired by and in response to the eff-able project, poetry or performance.<\/p>\n
Please note, this is unpaid. It is intended to be a showcase of the amazing diversity and brilliance of queer, crip artists in the UK and globally, and form part of a community legacy of the eff-able project.<\/p>\n
GUIDELINES
\nSubmit 1-3 works in response to eff-able.<\/p>\n
-Previously unpublished work only please (published on a personal social media account or screen-shared in a reading is okay)
\n-Poetry \u2013 no more than 40 lines (this doesn\u2019t include title or line breaks)
\n-Prose \u2013 up to 1000 words
\n-Visual, audio and other mixed media \u2013 up to 10 MB
\n-Feel free to play with form!
\n-Simultaneous submissions accepted, but please tell us as soon as possible if your work is accepted elsewhere
\n-No prejudice of any kind will be permitted
\n-This is intended to be a celebration of queer crip lives and loves, so please focus on positive experiences only (no mention of abuse, etc) so while we want to encourage freedom of expression, the overarching feel of the work should be empowering.
\n-We reserve the right to include a trigger warning if we feel it may be necessary, but will discuss with you in the selection\/editing process.<\/p>\n
Submissions are accepted ONLY through our Submissions Form, we will not read those sent via email. However, if you are unable to use the form for any reason, please do contact us! We want to ensure that every aspect of this project is as accessible as possible.<\/p>\n
