Launching on 1 June, World Children\u2019s Day, <\/span>SPINE Festival<\/span><\/a> 2021 explores EMPATHY with children, young people and families in sixteen London boroughs. This year features spoken word and arts activities delivered by <\/span>local artists<\/b> in each borough, a series of engaging school workshops and imaginative digital events by SPINE\u2019s <\/span>14 Artists in Residence<\/b> in fourteen boroughs, and our six week <\/span>ESOL Open House programme<\/b><\/a> in two boroughs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In partnership with Half Moon, we co-commissioned poets <\/span>Henry Madd <\/b>and<\/span> Kirk-Ann Roberts <\/b>to create a theatre show exploring SPINE 2021\u2019s festival theme of Empathy for 7 – 11 year olds. The result was <\/span>\u2018The CAT-Astrophic Adventures of Dollop and Crinkle\u2019 <\/b>and will be toured both digitally and physically across sixteen London boroughs.<\/span> Find out more<\/a> about this fun-filled play or watch the trailer below:<\/p>\n
